This research is motivated by the limited availability of engaging and contextual learning media to introduce algebra to elementary school students. Scratch is a digital technology based on a visual programming language that can be used by children as a learning tool to learn thinking skills, coding, and other mathematical domains. However, the use of scratch in algebra is still limited, especially in elementary schools. Therefore, this study aims to develop a scratch-based algebraic thinking learning media in 6th grade elementary school. This study uses a research and development (R&D) approach using the 4D development model (define, design, develop, disseminate). The process consists of curriculum analysis, student characteristics, and interactive design adjustments based on validation feedback from media, material, and language experts. Then, the scratch-based learning media was tested one-on-one (3 students) and in groups (32 students) to assess the practicality of the media. The findings of this study indicate that the scratch-based learning media has met the valid criteria from expert assessment with an Aiken V score of 0.82 (quite valid). This media also received high practicality scores from teachers (94.4%) and students (81.6%). These results confirm that Scratch-based learning media is suitable for implementing algebra learning in sixth-grade elementary school.
